Mpingo Conservation & Development Initiative
Mpingo Conservation & Development Initiative creates the foundations of the African blackwood chain of custody by managing an FSC group certificate scheme (certificate no. SA-FM/COC-002151) for community-managed forests in southern Tanzania – the first of its kind in Africa.
Sandali Wood Industries
Sandali Wood operate an FSC-certified (certificate no.SA-COC-002323) sawmill in Tanga, Tanzania and have purchased the entire first harvest of FSC-certified African blackwood from Kikole village. The wood will be processed in Tanga ahead of export to manufacturing countries.
Klicksi Ltd (UK)
Klicksi are currently the sole distributors of FSC-certified African blackwood and are FSC-certified as members of the Oxford Timber Audits Group Chain of Custody scheme (certificate number: SA-COC-001654 HD). Hanson Clarinets
Hanson Clarinets are the first woodwind instrument manufacturer to become FSC-certified and join the African blackwood chain of custody. Hanson are certified as members of the Oxford Timber Audits Group Chain of Custody scheme (certificate no. SA-COC-001654 HG).
