AFRICAN BLACKWOOD JEWELLERY MODELLED AT SOUND & FAIR CONCERT

A unique range of jewellery was modelled at the Sound & Fair Concert in Cambridge on Saturday 28th May 2011.

The jewellery was modelled by Lucy Payne, a clarinet student from the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.

Lucy was performing at the Sound & Fair concert which showcased the Hanson FSC-certified clarinet, the first woodwind instrument of its kind in the world.

The jewellery was crafted from African blackwood from the forest of Southern Tanzania and embedded with fair trade pink rubies from Malawi and recycled gold.

The jewellery was made by Candescent and will displayed as part of London Jewellery Week, 9-12th June 2011.
